Is about local people finding answers to local problems.
It involves using skills, talents, resources and commitment to enhance the quality of life within the local community.
It may involve setting up a new service  to deal with local issues – childcare, aged care, youth – or getting a new footpath!!

Northlakes Youth Counselling Service
Counselling, programs and groups for young people aged between 12-17 years living in the Northlakes Area (Cameron Park, Edgeworth, Glendale, Cardiff, Argenton, Seahampton, Barnsley, Killingworth & West Wallsend).

• Individual Counselling with young people
• Family Counselling
• Support
• Advocacy
• Consulation.

Northlakes Space Project
Transition programs for young people in partnership with Dept of Community Services and Dept of Education.

Northlakes Youth Project
A project for young people between 12-25yrs.

• Drop-In centre – games, activities, x-box, pool etc.
• Support – health, housing, education, job search.
• Information – about a range of services, supports and activities for young people.
• Referral to other services and govt agencies.
• Focus groups for young people – self esteem, anger management.

Hall Hire
The Community Hall is available for hire at reasonable cost for :

• Weddings
• Parties
• Engagements
• Meetings
• Community activities.

Security may be required to be provided for some events.
