Is about local people finding answers to local problems.
It involves using skills, talents, resources and commitment to enhance the quality of life within the local community.
It may involve setting up a new service to deal with local issues – childcare, aged care, youth – or getting a new footpath!!

Northlakes Youth Counselling Service
Counselling, programs and groups for young people aged between 12-17 years living in the Northlakes Area (Cameron Park, Edgeworth, Glendale, Cardiff, Argenton, Seahampton, Barnsley, Killingworth & West Wallsend).

Transition programs for young people in partnership with Dept of Community Services and Dept of Education.

Northlakes Youth Project
A project for young people between 12-25yrs.
- Drop-In centre – games, activities, x-box, pool etc.
- Support – health, housing, education, job search.
- Information – about a range of services, supports and activities for young people.
- Referral to other services and govt agencies.
- Focus groups for young people – self esteem, anger management.

Hall Hire
The Community Hall is available for hire at reasonable cost for :
- Weddings
- Parties
- Engagements
- Meetings
- Community activities
Security may be required to be provided for some events.

HALL HIRE FEES
FEES & CHARGES
(Effective from 1st July 2009 to 1st July 2010)
Function Hire.
- Bond $ 330.00
- Hire $187.00 (Incl. $17.00 GST)
- Key Deposit $ 50.00
Total Fee: $567.00
Cleaning fee per hour $33.00
(if premises are not left in a satisfactory state of cleanliness)
The entire hire fee of $567.00 must be paid no later than seven (7) days prior to hire.
The hire fee of $187.00 will be deducted and the remainder ($380.00) returned to the hirer by mail, following an inspection of the premises and return of the key.
Cleaning fees and any other costs relating to damage or misuse of the premises will be deducted.
Activity Hire
- Non- profit ( per hour ) $11.00
- Other - per hour $16.50
Photocopy
- 1-10 copies 20c each
- 10-100 copies 10c each
NB – no more than 100 copies per person / organization.
Fax
- 50c per local fax.
- $2.00 per STD fax.
